Warwick Police says restaurant crawler “crawled into custody” Monday

WARWICK, RI (WLNE) – Police in Warwick said they’ve arrested a man who was caught on camera in two different instances crawling through a restaurant while it was closed to steal a cash register.

Police say this happened at the “Top of the Bay” restaurant in late June and early July.

Warwick police posted on their Facebook saying “the ‘Top of the Bay Burglar’ identified as Douglas McLaren, crawled into custody” on Monday.

Police say McLaren is charged with breaking and entering.
