Warwick Police Searching for Person Responsible for Recent Tagging Incidents

WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – The Warwick Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person or people responsible for graffiti recently found.

The graffiti was found on the basketball court at the George Schmeider Memorial Park and the bathrooms at the Oakland Beach Seawall.

According to police, the tagging occurred sometime between 5/19 and 5/20.

Police say it is an eyesore and an unnecessary expense to the taxpayers who will foot the bill for cleanup.

The park and court were dedicated to the memory of Coach Schmeider, who was a well-respected member of the community.

Residents with information are asked to contact Detective Teddy Bulis at 401-468-4242.
