Warwick Police warn residents of group of thieves stealing from parked cars

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Warwick Police are warning the community about a group of young adults stealing from parked vehicles overnight over the last several weeks.

Police said Wednesday that the group makes their way around local neighborhoods on bikes late at night, splitting up into pairs and stealing property out of unlocked cars. According to Police, the thieves are most active on Sunday nights

At this time, Police say Warwick’s Hoxie, Governor Francis, Pilgrim Parkway, Lakewood, and Norwood neighborhoods have been affected by the group.

Police posted surveillance footage on Facebook of the alleged thieves, advising residents to lock their car doors and not to leave valuables inside.
