Warwick Post Road airport connector ramps to close for construction

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said it will close the Post Road on- and off-ramps at the Airport Connector in Warwick for construction starting Sunday night.

The closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 10 to Sept 12.

RIDOT said that during the closures the following detours would be in place:

  • For the Post Road northbound to Interstate 95: follow Post Road North to Coronado Road then to Jefferson Boulevard and back to the Airport Connector to I-95.
  • For the Post Road southbound to I-95: follow Post Road South to Main Avenue to I-95.
  • For the Airport Connector East to Post Road: Take the Jefferson Boulevard exit, then follow Jefferson Boulevard northbound to Coronado Road then to the Post Road.

RIDOT added that the closures will not traffic to or from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport.
