WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The city of Warwick will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday for a new municipal building.

The Sawtooth Municipal Building will be on Centerville Road.

“Up until the move, many of the city’s offices were scattered across Warwick,” said Elizabeth Tufts, spokesperson for the mayor of Warwick. “Residents can now get what they need done under one roof and it also makes running the city’s government much more efficient.”

In May, 2021, the Warwick City Council approved a 15-year lease deal with AAA.

The mayor’s office, clerk’s office, Board of Canvassers and Tourism and Economic Development stay at City Hall.

The ribbon cutting is slated for 10 a.m.
