Warwick woman arrested for striking officer with her car

Police have arrested a Warwick woman after her vehicle struck a traffic detail officer on Saturday.

36-year-old Tammy Vicino was taken into custody Monday after admitting to hitting the officer in the area of 18 Airport Road.

Police received a tip and located the wanted sports utility vehicle parked at a home on Hilton Road Monday night, which they linked to the reported crime.

Vicino is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (her car).

The officer struck, identified as Sgt. Thomas Snow, was treated and released from Kent County Memorial Hospital Saturday.
