Warwick woman charged with hitting cruiser, fleeing scene

State Police arrested a woman Sunday afternoon after she struck a cruiser then fled the scene of the accident.

According to State Police, 69-year-old Judith Woods, of Warwick,lost control of her vehicle at around 4:40 p.m. while on the off ramp of I-95 south onto Rt-37 eastbound and struck a state police cruiser.

Woods then fled the scene of the accident but was pulled over and arrested on Post Road near Alabama Avenue in Warwick shortly there after.

No one was injured in the accident.

Woods was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and damage to an attended vehicle. She was arraigned and released of $1,000 personal recognizance.

State Police a field sobriety test did not show any signs of impairment.
