WATCH LIVE: Senate Judiciary Committee holds third nomination hearing
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson is returning to the Senate for a third day of hearings.
In Tuesday’s hearings, Jackson faced senators’ questions for the first time. Thirty minutes were given to all 22 members of the panel.
The 51-year-old Harvard-educated lawyer was picked by President Biden to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer. This makes Jackson the first Black woman nominated to be a justice on the Supreme Court.
