WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — Students in Westport are starting school a little later.

Superintendent Thomas Aubin said a water pump issue postponed the first day of school set for Tuesday.

He said a custodian noticed low water pressure on Monday night.

Aubin said the district is looking into alternatives for getting water back at Westport Community Schools.

As of Tuesday, there are no plans for remote learning.

Each school in the district has passed an annual inspection and will reopen as soon as they can.
