We Love New England: 47th annual Cape Verdean Independence Day Festival

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cape Verdean Independence Day Festival is making its return to Providence this weekend for the first time in three years.

Festivalgoers will be able to enjoy food, music, and fun at India Point Park.

The festival is set to kick off at noon Sunday.

Admission is $5 for anyone older than five. Kids younger than five can enjoy the festival for free.
