Help Fight Heart Disease

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Friday is National Wear Red Day.  The American Heart Association’s movement to raise awareness for women’s heart health.

Heart Disease is the number one cause of death in the U.S. and worldwide.

Nearly 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented through changes to diet and lifestyle.  However, the American Heart Association says heart disease continues to claim a woman’s life every 80 seconds.
