Wellesley school track coach arrested

WELLESLEY, Mass. — A Wellesley High School assistant track coach was arrested and charged with distribution and possession of child porn Thursday.

69-year-old Walter Johnson of Framingham also served as a special education teaching assistant at Wellesley Middle School.

The arrest came after an investigation into child porn traded on Craigslist in January.

Authorities say Johnson admitted to sending and receiving child porn with various individuals he met through the website.

In fact, Rhode Island State Police found that Johnson posted an advertisement through Craigslist titled “Perv on your daughter –m4m.”

Johnson had an initial court appearance in federal court Thursday but is expected to appear again on Monday.
