West Warwick man accused of making pipe bombs at his home

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A West Warwick man is accused of making pipe bombs out of his Renehan Court home.

The Rhode Island State Fire Marshal’s Office, SWAT team units from multiple towns, and a Warwick police K-9 executed a search warrant at the home of Thomas Jacques at about 3:45 p.m. on April 6.

Authorities said they found two complete pipe bombs during the search.

Jacques was arraigned at 3rd District Court the next day and charged with two counts of possession of materials convertible for a bomb in violation of state law.

Jacques has a court appearance set for July 17, according to online court records.
