Westerly Hospital receives Pfizer vaccine

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – Today was a big day at The Westerly Hospital. The next shipment of Pfizer’s vaccine arrived this morning.

Doses of the vaccine were wheeled into the building and the vaccines will be given to doctors and other front-line health care workers at the hospital.

Hospital President and CEO, Patrick Green said, “This day represents hop and excited for our staff and community… It is the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Lifespan Hospitals were the first to receive shipments of Pfizer’s vaccine earlier this week, followed by Care New England.
