WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – In honor of the town of Westerly’s 350th anniversary, Grey Sail Brewing has debuted a commemorative custom brewed beer.

“Flying Horse Blonde Ale” was revealed at a private event in March and is now available to the public at Grey Sail’s brewery in Westerly.

Grey Sail described the new offering as a  “American Blonde Ale with a “strong citrus fruit flavor and aroma”,  “beautiful golden color” and a “biscuity flavor and mouthfeel”.

The beer was named after the Flying Horse Carousel in Watch Hill, a Westerly icon.

All proceeds from the sales of Flying Horse Blonde Ale will go directly to the Westerly 350 Committee, the group in charge of planning and promoting events related to the town’s 350th anniversary celebration.
