WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE)- A Westport man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to a child abuse case involving a two-month old.

Police said 32-year-old Stephen Kegyes was arrested and charged with three counts of permitting injury to a child, two counts of strangulation and one count of assault and battery on a child with injury.

Westport Police said they were informed of the abuse on Sunday, after Kegyes’ adopted infant son was being treated for multiple injuries at Boston Children’s Hospital.

After investigating, Westport detectives found a video taken from Kegyes home, which shows him abusing the two-month-old on Saturday afternoon.

Kegyes will be held until a dangerousness hearing on Friday at the Fall River Justice Center.

An investigation remains ongoing.
