Westport schools to welcome back students on Wednesday

WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — The Westport School Department announced that their schools will be open on Wednesday after a water pump failed and postponed their first day of school.

The department further thanked their custodial staff for getting their building ready for the start of the school year.

On Tuesday, The Westport School District announced that students attending elementary, middle and high school would not have classes after the pump issue.
