Wet and Windy Wednesday
After a splendid Tuesday Forecast, big changes are in store. Clouds will continue to build in overnight in advance of a strong front. Wednesday morning will be cloudy but dry for the early commute. By late morning, we will see rain develop and become heavy at times. Winds will also increase through the afternoon. The peak of rain and winds will time out with the late commute. At that time, expect heavy rain, reducing visibility and causing ponding on the roads while winds pick up. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect from 1pm Wednesday through 1am Thursday. Winds from the SW will be sustained at 20-30 mph with gusts to 55 mph possible. Unsecured objects like outdoor holiday decorations will likely be lofted, weaker trees and tree limbs can come down and scattered power outages are expected as well. The rain shuts down from west to east Wednesday night after 9pm and winds will relax at the same time. While the sunshine returns for Thursday, it will be blustery and chilly.
