When does the quiet weather streak end?

Any sign of snow?

Another chilly but seasonable morning across Southern New England. Today we see sunshine with some passing clouds at times. Highs will top out in the low 40s which is slightly above average for early to mid January. Tonight stays mainly clear and cool with lows in the mid 20s.

Wednesday looks like a nice, January day with plenty of sun and highs in the low 40s range once again. Some passing clouds as we head into Thursday with the outside chance of an isolated sprinkle. Highs will be a few degrees warmer, topping out in the mid 40s by the afternoon.

Friday starts with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. By the afternoon you can expect clouds to be increasing with highs in the mid 40s. Overnight we’ll track a system that will move through the area into Saturday. With temperatures staying well above freezing, this looks like an all rain-event for us here in SNE. Overnight temperatures when the precipitation moves in will be in the upper 30s and by Saturday afternoon, highs will be close to 50°. So our quiet stretch of weather ends Saturday, but with rain, no snow in sight.

We gradually clear out into Sunday but it will be breezy and a bit cooler with highs in the low 40s.
