MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — White nationalist flyers were tossed in driveways of a Middletown neighborhood last week.

According to a police report obtained by ABC 6 News, a woman said she was out for a morning run last Tuesday when she noticed sandwich bags in several driveways.

She picked up several after noticing they said they were from the Nationalist Social Club 131, a white nationalist group.

Police said in the report that “from their website, they are a neo-Nazi group that has small chapters based in the New England area.”

A Middletown officer seized 19 of the bags the woman collected. Each one contained a small flyer and a few white stones.

A similar incident was reported on Hunter Avenue in Newport that morning, but police said in a report that the information from the caller in that case was inconclusive.

“The officer checked the area and no flyers were located,” police said in the report. “No other incident has been reported.”

The white nationalist group has delivered their flyers overnight in Rhode Island multiple times. The baggies are usually found first thing in the morning, weighed down by small rocks.

The most recent incident was in Barrington in May.

The group hit Providence’s East Side and a North Kingstown neighborhood earlier this year.
