Whitehouse has Sitdown with Supreme Court Pick Kagan
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) – Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has met in Washington with Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan.
The Rhode Island Democrat, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, met Tuesday morning with Kagan.
Kagan, the U.S. solicitor general and former dean of Harvard Law School, is President Barack Obama's nominee for the nation's high court. She would fill the seat being vacated by Justice John Paul Stevens.
