Whole Foods Grant Provides For School Salad Bars

Last year, Whole Foods Market stores raised money in an effort to put salad bars in school lunch rooms, as part of a grant program with the Great American Salad Bar Project.

Five schools in Rhode Island were selected to receive the grant. Those schools now have the equipment for use, and are planning menus around the new options.

On Wednesday, the International Charter School in Pawtucket became the first to use the salad bars, after a ribbon cutting and 'grand opening' event.
