Winter Returns Friday with Gusto

Weather Alert is in effect tonight for freezing drizzle that times out with the Thursday evening commute. Road conditions may become icy and slippery and caution is advised in the Winter Weather Advisory area. The timing of the advisory is through 4AM Friday. Late tonight, a cold front will sweep through the region with the chance of mixed precipitation, including freeing rain. We will clear near dawn and temperatures will be in the 30s. Temps will peak around 10am in the mid-30s, then the cold air arrives. Winds will increase with gusts up to 35 mph and temperatures will drop through the afternoon. It will be blustery and cold. We bottom out in the teens Saturday morning and with a day full of clouds, highs will struggle in the 20s. Sunday morning will be another cold one with lows in the teens. Sunday is looking mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, but it will be milder with highs near 40.
