Winters Elementary School in Pawtucket to reopen Friday
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Henry J. Winters Elementary School in Pawtucket will reopen Friday for the first time in nearly a month.
School officials announced classes will resume in-person after school has been closed due to two bad heating coils.
The school first closed in early February after a heating coil failed that led to water damage to numerous classrooms.
Officials were hopeful to bring back students to the building after winter break last week, but another faulty coil was discovered causing the school to remain closed.
After the announcement that classes will resume Friday, school leaders gave a tour of the building to show what work has been done.
