Woman arrested for leaving dog in car at Twin River casino

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Lincoln police said they arrested a woman at Bally’s Twin River Casino for leaving her dog in her car while she was inside the casino.

The car’s owner, Young Ju Seol, from Hopkinton, Mass., was arrested and charged with one count of malicious injury or killing of animals and one count of animal confinement in motor vehicles.

Capt. Kyle Wingate said that officers responded to the casino around 7 p.m. on July 14 due to reports that security had located a vehicle with heavy condensation on the windows and the brake lights activated.

Wingate said that officers gained entry to the car and found a deceased canine on the driver’s side floor.

Further investigation found that the dog was left in the car for several hours without water or air conditioning with the windows closed while temperatures were near 80 degrees.
