Woman dead after crash in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — East Providence police said a woman died after crashing her car into a telephone pole in East Providence Saturday night.

Capt. Michael Rapoza said the crash took place in the area of Pleasant Street and Pawtucket Avenue.

The driver was identified as 33-year-old Kristen Ambra  of East Providence, who was the only person in the car at the time.

Rapoza added that the crash is being investigated by the department’s Traffic Unit Reconstruction Team.
