PAWTUCKET, R.I (WLNE) – A woman is facing multiple charges after a 25-minute car chase ends with a crash in Pawtucket on Friday, May 3rd 2019.

Rhode Island police say they chased a woman driving a stolen pickup truck through several cities and towns before she crashed in the Mei King restaurant parking lot in Pawtucket.

According to Warwick police, they first tried to pull the woman over because she was believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Authorities say she sped off and nearly hit an officer in the process.

Officers from Warwick, Pawtucket, Providence and State police became involved in the chase.

The woman has not been identified, and is currently in Pawtucket police custody at this time.

Warwick police say they are looking to get warrants signed for a “long list of charges.”

Other districts are expected to file multiple charges as well, including driving under the influence and operating a stolen vehicle.
