Providence Police are searching for three suspects after a female employee at a pizzeria was sexually assaulted during an armed robbery on New Year’s Eve.

The 35-year-old female employee of Jeremy’s Pizza on Pocasset Avenue was tied up in the bathroom by three suspects, described as men in their 30s, before they groped her and stole her purse, leaving her partially unclothed.

The suspects were wearing black jackets when they entered the pizzeria and asked about the cost of a large pizza. That’s when they brandished guns and knives and demanded money, attacking the male employee at the counter.

The female employee was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. The male employee was struck in the head and sustained cuts to his chest.

Police do not have detailed descriptions of the suspects.
