Woman shot in her car in Providence, police say

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police said Tuesday that a woman was shot in her car in Providence.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. on March Street.

Maj. David Lapatin told ABC 6 News the woman, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

She was conscious when officers arrived, according to police. No arrests have been made at this time.

This is the same street where a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed earlier this month.
