Woman stabbed in Rehoboth after fight

REHOBOTH, Mass. (WLNE) — Rehoboth police said Tuesday night that a woman was stabbed and the search for the suspect is ongoing.

According to authorities, the received a 911 call for a report of a woman crying who appeared to be stabbed.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they met the 29-year-old woman, who they said was bleeding from a stab wound to her ear. The woman reported being stabbed during a fight with another woman who she knew.

The woman told police that before the stabbing, she was in a car with the suspect and two unidentified men. She said a fight broke out between her and the suspect that caused the car to be pulled over.

Officials said the fight continued outside the car. That’s when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the ear.

After the stabbing, the suspect and the two men ran north on Smith Street toward Attleboro.

The woman was taken to Sturdy Hospital for her injuries which were reported as non-life-threatening.

No arrests were made and the stabbing is under investigation.
