Woman struck by lightning in Massachusetts dies

The Ipswich Police Department has announced that one of the women struck by lightning on Saturday at Crane Beach has passed away.

Marguerite Tomany, age 61, of North Grosvenor Dale, Connecticut, died as a result of the injuries she suffered from the lightning strike.

The second victim, a 69-year-old woman from Concord, Massachusetts, remains in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
