Woonsocket fireworks show postponed to Friday

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The city of Woonsocket announced that its fireworks show scheduled for Sunday night has been postponed to Friday, July 7.

The festivities will still start at 4 p.m. at World War II Veterans Memorial Park on Social Street.

The event is set to include food trucks and two live bands. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

The Woonsocket fireworks show is just one of the Independence Day celebrations taking place across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
