Woonsocket man charged with setting fire to cars

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – A Woonsocket man was arrested on multiple counts of arson Wednesday after allegedly setting fire to a pair of vehicles.
Woonsocket Police responded to a home on Bernon Street around 5:00 p.m. for reports of a domestic disturbance.
Officers on scene reported an argument between the family living at the address and guests.
Shortly after police arrived on scene smoke and flames were seen coming from two cars parked in the driveway, spreading to a nearby garage as well.
Bell faces the following charges:
- 1 count 2nd Degree Arson
- 2 counts 4th Degree Arson
Bell was arraigned Wednesday morning in Providence District Court. He was released on $2,500 bail with surety, and is due back in court October 2.
He is ordered to have no contact with the family and undergo pretrial mental health screenings.
