Woonsocket resident killed in motorcycle crash identified

WOONSOCKET, R.I (WLNE) – Woonsocket police said a motorcyclist tragically died following a motorcycle crash early Friday morning.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Eric Wakely of Woonsocket.

Police responded to the scene at Providence and Vose for an accident shortly after 7:00 a.m

The victim had left the road and crashed into a retaining wall on a homeowner’s property.

The crash is still under investigation.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral expenses.
