Worcester man found guilty in rape trial
WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE)- A Worcester man was found guilty of rape in Worcester Superior Court on Friday.
Edward Lacey, 41, was found guilty of kidnapping, two counts of rape, three counts of indecent assault and battery, strangulation, threat to commit a crime and assault and battery. He was found not guilty of assault with intent to murder.
Lacey was arrested by Shrewsbury Police on May 12, 2018, after he kidnapped and raped a woman at the Worcester City Motel.
The official sentencing of Lacey will be on April 1.
