Wrentham drops to ‘low risk’ status for COVID-19

WRENTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS – Town Administrator and Emergency Management Director Kevin Sweet announced that the town of Wrentham is designated “green” on Wednesday.

The green rating indicates the rate of positive COVID-19 tests has fallen over the past few weeks.

On September 16, Wrentham was designated as “red” or a high-risk community, before dropping to yellow on September 30th.

“We are very pleased to see our numbers dropping in the way that they have over the past few weeks, leading to our ‘low risk’ status,” Town Administrator Sweet said.

“But we are aware of the increase in positive cases in neighboring communities and throughout the Commonwealth, and we urge all residents to continue to be vigilant in their fight against COVID-19”, he continued.

While the numbers drop, the town is still urging residents to maintain safe social distance, diligently wash their hands, wear a mask in public, and staying home if they are sick to prevent a surge in infection.
