Wrentham Outlets to open at 6am Black Friday

WRENTHAM, M.A. (WLNE) — The Wrentham Outlets will be opening later this Black Friday due to Covid-19.

Shops will open at 6:00am Black Friday morning instead of the usual 12:00am Thanksgiving night.

Outlet management made the decision hoping it will eliminate typical lines and crowds that gather Thanksgiving night.

Stores will make sure shoppers wear masks and obey social distancing protocols. Benches and play equipment will be removed from the grounds.

Wrentham Police say they are still expecting large crowds and will have their typical Black Friday traffic patterns in place.

“Route 1A will be divided so there are separate lanes heading into the outlets,” said Wrentham Police Chief Bill McGrath. “I-495 will have a slip ramp dedicated for Outlet traffic.”

“We’re just hoping that in general, shoppers use their common sense and are Covid-aware,” said McGrath.

The Outlets will be open from 10:00am – 8:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
