WWE Monday Night RAW returns to Boston

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Monday Night RAW was held at TD Garden in Boston Monday night.

This night was different as WWE legend John Cena made his return to his hometown and the World Wrestling Entertainment.

ABC6 News digital reporter T.J. Albin spoke to Cena’s father, Cena Sr who was ecstatic as his son returned to the ring.

“You can’t see me, but you saw him! It’s great to be back in Boston — and you know what?,” Cena Sr. asked.

“We saw Cena be there [for] WrestleMania,” he exclaimed.

ABC6 News asked fans if they were excited for Cena’s first appearance in Boston in over three-years. The answer was unanimous;

“It’s going to be fun to see him back out here because he hasn’t been out in a while,” a younger fan said.

“I wasn’t going to be coming to this event originally, but then I saw John Cena was advertised — that’s when I said I got to get to this event one way or another,” another fan stated.

The Amica Mutual Pavilion also held WWE Monday Night RAW this past Monday.
