The Yankees awarded former Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury with a truckload of cash in the offseason, but they did him no favors on opening day at Yankee Stadium.

As Ellsbury's name came up on the scoreboard in centerfield in the bottom of the 6th inning, it was spelled incorrectly. The operator typed, “Ellsubry.” He was 2-3 with an RBI at the time. The Yankees won the game 4-2 over Baltimore.
