‘You all give me a reason to keep pushing and keep fighting’: AJ Quetta thanks community for support

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A.J. Quetta and his father released a video on Saturday, thanking the community for the support.

In the video, A.J. said “you all give me a reason to keep pushing and keep fighting. It’s awesome.”

He went on to thank his teammates, saying he would do anything to get back out on the ice with them.

He wished his teammates luck in Saturday’s matchup between Bishop Feehan and North Attleboro, two rivals who are donating all game proceeds to A.J. and his recovery.

Earlier in the week, A.J. was transferred to the Shepherd Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta for treatment. Shepherd, considered to be one of the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country, specializes in the treatment of spinal cord injuries.

A.J. was injured in a hockey game on January 26, after he crashed into the boards headfirst.

A GoFundMe was created to help A.J. and his family with recovery costs.
