You can stand under my umbrella
Make sure you have your umbrella handy as the rain moves in during the late afternoon/evening hours
Providence, R.I. (WLNE)–
Pack an umbrella for tonight and tomorrow.
Today we have increasing clouds with a warm front working it’s way towards us.
We do warm up to the upper 40’s today, but later today an approaching system tracking towards us brings scattered showers after 5pm.
Rain tonight will be drizzly and light because we have a little bit of dry air at the surface that eats up a lot of moisture in the atmosphere.
We get a break in the overnight hours, and by early Saturday morning the rain picks back up and continues through the afternoon. We do warm up 60 degrees later in the day with a south wind in place 5-10mph.
Sunday a cold front passes through keeping us just below average with a daytime high of only 48.
Warming trend headed our way as we start the week off with temperatures soaring in to the 60’s by mid-week.
