You Paid For it: Snow Job

ABC6 viewers blow the whistle on a Convention Center employee who's using state equipment to clear out his snowy driveway.

The RI Convention Center employee lives in North Providence, and neighbors found that a state-financed truck was being used to clear the man's driveway.

The Convention Center is financed partially by taxpayer money and partly by private funds, so it's tough to tell exactly how much this cost you the taxpayer – but it is definitely an inappropriate use of state property.

The head of the Convention Center didn't want to appear on camera but said taking any Convention Center property for personal use is against policy and the people involved in this case have already been spoken to.

ABC6 Reporter Mark Curtis has the story, because You Paid for It.
