2 dead in Coventry ATV crash

COVENTRY, R.I. (AP) – Police say two people have died in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Rhode Island.

Coventry police say they responded to reports of a crash on Hope Furnace Road just before 1 a.m. Friday.

The operator and the passenger on the ATV were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and were pronounced dead from their injuries.

These individuals have been identified as Ryan Kennedy, 23-years-old, of Coventry, and Jennifer Silva, 18-years-old, of Johnston. 

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
