1 dead after crash on I-95 in West Greenwich, car burst into flames

WEST GREENWICH (R.I) – State police say a person was killed after a car burst into flames following a crash on I-95 in West Greenwich on Wednesday.

According to police, the accident happened southbound past exit 6 at approximately 12:07 AM.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the 55-year-old Kenneth Norberg exited the roadway and rolled over several times.

Norberg was dead at the scene, state police said.

The scene of the accident was cleared around 3:30 AM.

While speed is believed to be a factor, the accident remains under investigation.
