1 injured after overnight shooting in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said its investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the shooting happened on Payton Street around 12:30 a.m.

One victim, who’s identity was not immediately released, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

ABC 6 News has reached out to Providence police for further information and are waiting to hear back.
