1 injured in Providence shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that happened behind the district courthouse in Providence Sunday morning. 

Police tell ABC 6 a 27 year old man suffered from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg following a shooting on August 9th around 2:30 a.m. 

The victim was taken to the hospital.

Police officers and Detectives in the area responded after hearing gun shots.

A vehicle was stopped close by and a few people were arrested but no charges have been filed yet.
