1 injured in rollover on Interstate 95 in Richmond

RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE) — An individual was injured yesterday after their vehicle was stuck on the center median on Interstate 95 Northbound in Richmond.

According to the Hope Valley Wyoming Fire District, firefighters were dispatched to Interstate 95 northbound in the area of the welcome center for a motor vehicle accident rollover with entrapment.

Firefighters quickly utilized struts to stabilize the vehicle, preventing it from further rolling over, before removing the drivers door to extricate the victim.

Officials reminded the public that when approaching an accident or stopped emergency vehicles on the roadway to slow down or move over.

“The video or photos you’re attempting to get isn’t worth the risk,” they stated.
