10,000 to 10: Power restored in Providence County outage area

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — More than 10,000 Rhode Islanders were facing power outages at one point on Monday morning, according to the Rhode Island Energy outage map.

The map said that as of 11:30 a.m., 10,345 Rhode Island Energy customers were without power.

That number has since dropped to 10.

The concentration of these outages was in the Central Falls and Valley Falls areas.

ABC6 has reached out to Rhode Island Energy for comment on this matter.
