11-month old child falls from third story window in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — An 11-month old child fell from a third-story window in Newport Tuesday night, according to the Newport Police Department.

Newport police and fire personnel responded to a Lucas avenue address for the report of someone bleeding at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Prior to their arrival, the child had been taken to Newport Hospital.

The child was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital by med flight.

Newport police detectives are investigating the incident.
