117 employees to be laid off from Electric Boat

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Approximately 117 employees will be laid off at the Electric Boat facility in North Kingstown according to Riley Power Group.
A WARN notification was sent to the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training on August 20, and these layoffs will occur on or within fourteen days of October 21 and the layoff is expected to be permanent.
This includes 13 electricians, 29 pipefitters, two press break operators, 25 shipfitters and 48 structural welders.
